Summary:Of all those theologians with whom Ludwig Feuerbach was preoccupied, none was more important to him than Martin Luther. Luther's doctrine of revelation provided Feuerbach with the confirmation he needed that Christianity is basically and essentially anthropocentric, that its emotional power consists in providing a sensuous fulfillment for the human desire to transcend the limitations of nature and death.
