Triassic age for a conglomerate clast in the Waipapa Terrane, North Island, New Zealand

A granite clast in a local conglomerate horizon in Hunua Facies (Waipapa Terrane), metasedimentary rocks at Punaruku Stream, Northland, yields a U-Pb zircon age 229 ± 3 Ma, setting a maximum early Late Triassic depositional age for the succession.
