Attempts at utilization of the EP reagent for testing the occurrence of azulene compounds in genus Lactarius fungi, for taxonomic purposes
29 species of Lactarius from various stands were tested for reaction with EP reagent. The results were positive for 22 species, i.e. the reagent turned blue or green.
