Summary:Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of primary school teachers with a high risk of type 2 diabetes; their healthy lifestyle behaviours and factors associated with diabetes risk. Method: A descriptive research was conducted with 975 primary school teachers. The Finnish Diabetes Risk Questionnaire (FINDRISK), which evaluates the risk of diabetes, and Health Promotion Life-Style Profile II tools were used. Results: The mean age of thestudygroupwas36.5±7.1 and 50.7% of the subjects were female. According to the FINDRISK, 5.7% of primary school teachers were at a high risk of diabetes.
