Summary:Nanocrystalline lanthanum zirconate La 2 Zr 2 O 7 was synthesized by the solid-phase method using preliminary mechanical activation of a La 2 O 3 and ZrO 2 mixture. Processes occurring during heating the mixture of mechanoactivated lanthanum and zirconium oxides were studied using the X-ray phase analysis, IR spectroscopy, and complex thermal analysis. Synthesized lanthanum zirconate was characterized by the X-ray phase analysis and transmission electron microscopy methods.
