The Conceptual Approaches to Identification of the External and Internal Labour Markets in Terms of Economic Activity Types in the Russian Federation Regions

The paper sheds light on sectorial and regional labour market models within the Russian economy. The author suggests the methodology for definition of the labour market type (internal or external) viewed from the sectorial structure of the Russian Federation subjects. In order to analyze the types of economic activity on the criteria of principal properties of the internal and external labour market we used the relative indicators of labour force rotation. The paper also comes up with the results of regional clusterization by the degree of manifestation of the properties of the external and internal labour market based on the use of indicators of a labour force movement. In order to define the prevailing type of a labour market in the Russian regions, we used the statistical data on the structure of the Gross Regional Product (GRP) from the regional perspective on the types of economic activity. The author defined the tendencies of regional changes and provided grounds for conceptual approaches to the differentiation of state regulation of labour segments.
