description The aim of this work is to analyze different studies characterizing the climate of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara (ZMG), conducted by different research groups and governmental institutions, in different years. The results allowed knowing the regional and local climate and the importance of solar radiation on the promotion and development of new environmental technologies. We conclude that the climate of the area is ideal for the capture and power generation.
