Description
Summary:An abstract of the study by Feneley and Carruthers on PSA monitoring during testosterone replacement therapy is presented. Results of the study indicate that changes in PSA in response to testosterone replacement appear overall to be not significant, irrespective of hormone formulation. The risk of prostate cancer in a pre-screened and carefully monitored population treated for androgen deficiency appears low, and treatment can be offered early.
