HIV-1 infection by artificial insemination

Matz et al present the case of a 35-year-old female health worker with some occupational risk for acquisition of HIV-1 infection who had an acute infectious mononucleosis-like syndrome. She had contracted HIV-1 from artificial insemination with fresh sperm.
