SPAGESP [online]. 2017, vol.18, n.2, pp. 100-114. ISSN 1677-2970. This paper analyses the ethical implications in the research with adolescents in conflict with the law, highlighting the reality of groups with a history of involvement in drug traffick. In the first part, we discuss the social and psychological aspects associated to the engagement of adolescents and young people in the commercialization of psychoactive substances. Then, an experience in researching with this group is presented, emphasizing the dilemmas encountered in the fieldwork due to the inaccuracies of the ethics committee that evaluated the proposal. Finally, based on the guidelines defined in the Resolution n. 510/2016 of the National Health Council, the ethical issues of research with adolescents with involvement in trafficking are discussed.
