Summary: | Human emotions depend upon the behavior and cognition. If each person can identify, understand and manage his emotions in a positive way, he can relate better to other, fulfilling life and overcome challenges in a positive way without stress. Understanding his emotional state and using the appropriate strategy to manage his emotion to adapt and to change circumstances is called emotion regulation. The goal of emotion regulation is to maintain desirable emotions and to decrease undesirable ones. In this paper, we implement another decay function based on emotion regulation to modulate the negative emotions and help agent to be more believable to express his emotion during the interaction. Our work is based a modular architecture used for synthetic agents where emotions and personality influence behavior for more believable agents. |
