Rationale Rhinovirus (RV) and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) are drivers of asthma inception in children. Nasopharyngeal swabs were obtained and sent for viral genome sequencing, qPCR testing for RV, and 16S ribosomal RNA for microbiome.
