Description
Summary:The work describes in detail the structure of a coordination platinum(II) compound with the sulfur-and nitrogen-containing biologically active β-mercaptoethylamine ligand NH 2 CH 2 CH 2 SH which deprotonates during synthesis and acts simultaneously as a chelating and bridging ligand resulting in the formation of the hexanuclear [Pt 6 (NH 2 CH 2 CH 2 S) 8 ]Cl 4 ·3H 2 O complex of a non-cluster type. Depending on the conditions, in particular, medium pH, complexes with different nuclearities and hydration numbers can form in this system.
