Description
Summary:In Sofri and Others v. Italy the European Court of Human Rights, Fourth Section, held, finding, inter alia, the complaint under Art.6 inadmissible as manifestly illfounded, although it was extremely regrettable that items of evidence relating to the murder were destroyed shortly before the trial commenced, probably as a result of administrative error on the part of the Italian authorities, the destruction did not give rise to any inequality of arms to the detriment of the defendants. A commentary on the case is provided.
