Summary:The scarcity of resources and the existence of a wide variety of constraints, particularly time, lead organizations or individuals to make performance evaluations in order to check at regular intervals whether the objectives and/or goals have been reached. Multi-criteria decision making methods are quite suitable for measuring and following up performance that is high in number and varies depending on different criteria. In this study, performances of deposits banks operating in Turkey have been evaluated according to 49 sub-criteria under 7 main heading derived from financial statements for the years between 2006-2016 using TOPSIS method. In the analysis, deposit banks have been classified in 3 main groups; public, private and foreign capital deposit banks. We have aimed to guide future projections of group members and to help in making more sensitive evaluation with this grouping. In accordance with this purpose, the results are presented and interpreted in graphics and tables.
