Description
Summary:An abstract of the study conducted by Klinghammer et al establishing different molecular subtypes of head and neck cancer based on gene expression patterns as predictive signature for an EFGR directed treatment. The study concluded that the basal subtype was a strong predictor for response to EGFR directed therapy in head and neck squamous cell cancer patient derived xenografts, whereas activity of chemotherapy was homogenous between signature-defined subtypes.
