Summary:Ptable, a free online resource, touts itself as being one of the most interactive and dynamic periodic tables available. Ptable’s periodic table includes the same basic characteristics as other periodic tables, such as specific colours for each metal and non-metal group, numbered rows and columns, atomic symbol, full name and standard atomic weight. What makes this resource immediately more dynamic is the amount of detail offered when an element is passed over with the cursor. A larger square is shown when the element is selected, which includes the number of electrons per shell and the block of the periodic table to which each element belongs.
