Summary: | Literary Print Culture (LPC), drawing from the records of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers in London, is the digital version of the Stationers’ Company Entry Book of Copies (1554-1842 only), Court Records (1602-1982 only), Membership Records (1555-1940 only), Treasurers’ vouchers (1734-1800), English Stock documents (1603-1961) and a collection of photographs. Cut-off dates were agreed upon in negotiation with the staff at the Stationers’ Company archive to protect living members and also follow copyright restrictions (copyright records for the period 1842-1924 are deposited at The National Archives); additional dates regarding financial matters may be found in the Nature and Scope. LPC categorizes the records into Constitutional Records, Court Records, Financial Records, Trade Records, General Administrative Records and Charities and Property Records. |
