Summary: | Ingestion of radionuclide contaminated food is one of the major concerns in long-term exposure following a nuclear accident. A terrestrial food chain model was developed to evaluate radioactivity in terrestrial food and ingestion doses under the Korean agricultural environment. The influence of the radionuclides released from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident on contamination of agricultural food and livestock produced in Japan and the ingestion doses for people living in Fukushima Prefecture was calculated using the developed model. |
