Summary:Trust in highly automated driving increased by intuitive dialogue between the driver and driver assistance systems. Predestined are augmented reality head‐up displays (AR HUD) able to display virtual images in large projection distances in front of the driver in context to the environment. A volume optimized mirror‐less AR HUD solution, based on a disruptive holographic waveguide technology with first results from a first real demonstrator.
