Summary:[...]his instructions were so clear and precise that they would all fully profit from his advice. In 1979 he returned to Greece as the most appropriate scholar, despite his relatively young age, to take on the difficult organising duties required as Head of the Department of English Language and Literature of the University of Athens. With his efforts equally oriented towards the education of the broader public, he also delivered numerous lectures and speeches on such cultural and literary topics that were dear to him at the Hellenic-American Union, gave radio and TV interviews, and wrote related articles for the daily press.
