Poroid neoplasms represent a spectrum of adnexal tumors arising from the intraepidermal portion of the eccrine sweat glands, ranging from benign lesions (hidroacanthoma simplex, poroma and dermal duct tumor) to high-grade malignant carcinomas, termed porocarcinomas.
