Description
Summary:This article aims at comparatively analyzing the evolution of Romania and Serbia (and later of Yugoslavia) from the First World War until the Second World War. The pivotal problematizing aspects will tackle the cooperation between two states and the ways in which they perceived each other, but also the ways in which the two states built and shaped identities as allies. The main goal is to show that during the interwar period Romania and Yugoslavia managed to reproduce and perpetuate a cultural formation of good neighbourhood, already shaped by Romanian-Serbian relations at the beginning of the 20th century.
