Summary:A phytochemical constituent investigation of the bark of Ptychopetalum olacoides led to the isolation of three new diterpenoides, named ptycholactone ( 1 ), 3(R)-hydroxysarcopetaloic acid ( 2 ), and 2β,3β-dihydroxylabda-8(17),12(13),14(15)-triene ( 3 ). The structures of 1 , 2 , and 3 were elucidated by analyzing spectroscopic data and comparing their NMR data with those of the previously reported compounds 2a and 3a .
