Experimental determination of Mn-Mg mixing properties in garnet, olivine and oxide
The mixing properties of manganese-magnesium (Mn-Mg) olivine and Mn-Mg garnet at 1,300 degrees C were measured from a combination of interphase partitioning experiments involving these phases, platinum-manganese alloys and Mn-Mg oxide solid solutions.
