Measurements of activation cross section for 198Pt(n,2n)197mPt reaction induced by 14.7 MeV neutrons
The cross section for the 198Pt (n, 2n) 197mPt reaction has been measured in the neutron energy around 14.7±0.05 MeV using the activation technique (NAA). The Iron foils were used as neutron flux monitor via the 56Fe (n,p) 56Mn reference reaction. The fast neutrons were produced, via the 3H(d, n) 4H...

Summary: | The cross section for the 198Pt (n, 2n) 197mPt reaction has been measured in the neutron energy around 14.7±0.05 MeV using the activation technique (NAA). The Iron foils were used as neutron flux monitor via the 56Fe (n,p) 56Mn reference reaction. The fast neutrons were produced, via the 3H(d, n) 4He reaction,by Neutron Generator at the Research Nuclear Center of Algiers. The neutron fluences were determined by the cross section of 27Al(n,p)27Mg reaction. The cross section was discussed and compared with experimental data found in the literature. |
