p38 MAP kinase regulates IL-1beta responses in cultured airway smooth muscle cells

Laporte et al investigated whether p38 mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase is involved in the Beta-adrenergic hyporesponsiveness in cultured human airway smooth muscle cells due to interleukin (IL)-1Beta. The results confirm the hypothesis that p38 is involved in the signal transduction pathway t...

Description
Summary:Laporte et al investigated whether p38 mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase is involved in the Beta-adrenergic hyporesponsiveness in cultured human airway smooth muscle cells due to interleukin (IL)-1Beta. The results confirm the hypothesis that p38 is involved in the signal transduction pathway through which IL-1Beta induces cyclooxygenase expression, PGE2 release and Beta-adrenergic hyporesponsiveness.
