Summary:2,2′,7a,7a′,7b,7b′-Hexamethyldiphenyl ether, caryophyllene oxide, (+)-sesamin, β-sitostenone, vanillin, isovanillin, vanillic acid, veratraldehyde, carvacrol, thymol, 3,4-methylenedioxycinnamyl alcohol, 3,4-dimethoxycinnamyl alcohol, 3,4-methylenedioxycinnamaldehyde, 3,4-dimethoxycinnamaldehyde, eugenol, safrole, methyleugenol, methyl cinnamate, and methyl trans-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-propenoate were isolated from the barks of Cinnamomum subavenium Miq. (Lauraceae). Among them, 2,2′,7a,7a′,7b,7b′-hexamethyldiphenyl ether is a new diphenyl ether. The structures of these compounds were characterized and identified by spectral analyses.
