Description
Summary:In this work the effect of nitrate ion concentration on morphology, structure and particle size of layered gadolinium hydroxide obtained by precipitation at a constant pH value of 8 was studied. In addition, the possibility of intercalation with dodecyl sulfate ions (DS-) of layered gadolinium hydroxide obtained by the method of precipitation was shown. The degree of substitution of nitrate ions for DS- and the associated increase of the interlayer distance in the crystals of layered gadolinium hydroxide where determined.
