Summary:Acinetobacter baumannii is a well-known but relatively uncommon cause of health-care-associated infections. Here, Scott et al describe an increasing number of Acinetobacter baumannii blood stream infections in patients at military medical facilities in which service members injured Iraq/Kuwait region during Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom were treated.
