Summary: | Arthritis is a chronic disease affecting an estimated 43 million US adults and is leading cause of disability in the US. Here, a report that summarizes the results of data analysis from the 2003 National Health Interview Survey and the state-based 2003 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey, which indicated no statistically significant progress toward reaching the targets for weight counseling, physical activity counseling, and arthritis education, is presented. Moreover, a CDC editorial note is included. |
