Description
Summary:The paper reports the simulation results on the mechanical testing of flange segments in order to refine the properties of materials and predict the strength of a structure with a defect in the form of delamination. The spatial problem of calculating the stress-strain state of a flange sample during mechanical testing is considered. The flange design scheme takes into account the technological order of packing and the anisotropy of the reinforcing layer properties. A defect in the form of delamination was specified in the central part of the inflection of the layers; the material in this region had reduced elastic properties (close to zero). Based on the numerical simulation results of the mechanical tests on flange samples, the stress and strain fields in the layers were obtained and the strength of the structure was evaluated by the criterion of maximum stresses for stresses in the layers. The analysis of stress fields during testing of flange samples showed that the normal stretching interlayer stresses are the most dangerous as they determine the beginning of structure destruction.
