Description
Summary:Radioactive decay is a natural process with everyday consequences for society. The necessary concepts of exponential decay and half-life usually require some mathematical knowledge for their presentation. In this method, these concepts are explained and easily demonstrated using strips of paper. This can be simply extended to some typical situations: radiocarbon dating and nuclear waste storage times are used as examples.
