Description
Summary:The present study demonstrates, a selective detection of F− using aluminium (Al) micro-interdigitated electrode (μ-IDEs) array modified by graphene oxide (GO). The selectivity of the fabricated sensor towards F− in presence of contaminants like, Chloride (Cl−), Bromide (Br−) & Nitrate (NO3−) at concentration of 100 and 50 ppm is investigated using simple electrical measurements. The selectivity of GO/Al-μ-IDEs is attributed to the highest electro-negativity and strong affinity of F− towards Al. The real time, cost effective, selective GO/Al-μ-IDEs based molecular sensors shows the potential for detection of aqueous F− in presence of other contaminants.
