Summary: | The aim of the present study was to measure the serum concentrations of specific cartilage and bone biomarkers reflecting tissue turnover, particularly hyaluronic acid and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein, to investigate disease activity. The study included 60 patients of rheumatoid arthritis with age range 43-66 years; thirty patients were rapid erosive patients and thirty were slow erosive, compared to twenty matched normal population with age range 46-63 years. All individuals enrolled in the study were subjected to full history taking, clinical examination and necessary laboratory investigation. The study showed significantly (P |
