Description
Summary:This paper reports the influence of Fe doping degree (1%, 3%, 5%) on structural and optical characteristics of gallium oxide nanoparticles evidenced by XRD, Raman, UV-vis and EPR methods. XRD studies reveal a monoclinic β-Ga2O3 structure. The lattice expansion sustains the substitutional incorporation of Fe ions in Ga2O3 host. The presence of a αFe2O3 secondary phase was evidenced for the samples doped with 3 and 5 % Fe only by Raman scattering. From UV-Vis absorption and EPR spectroscopy was evidenced the presence of isolated Fe3+ ions in octahedral sites, Fe2O3 particles, Fex3+Oy and oligomeric clusters.
