Structural and magnetic properties of Ni-doped SnO2
Samples of Ni doped SnO2 nanocrystalline were successfully prepared by chemical co-precipitation method. X-ray diffraction pattern infers that Sn1-xNixO2 (x=0.00, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) samples are in single phase with tetragonal structure (P42/mnm). Raman spectroscopy reveals the observed phonon mode...

Summary: | Samples of Ni doped SnO2 nanocrystalline were successfully prepared by chemical co-precipitation method. X-ray diffraction pattern infers that Sn1-xNixO2 (x=0.00, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) samples are in single phase with tetragonal structure (P42/mnm). Raman spectroscopy reveals the observed phonon modes of SnO2 are at about 387-397, and 559 - 572 cm−1. For Sn0.9Ni0.1O2, these peaks are shifted to higher wave numbers, while to that for Sn0.85Ni0.15O2 and Sn0.8Ni0.2O2, peaks are shifted to the lower wave numbers. The frequency dependent dielectric constant decreases with the increase in the frequency and becomes constant at high frequencies for all compositions of Ni substituted SnO2. The magnetization curve confirms the paramagnetic nature of all Ni doped SnO2 samples. |
