Description
Summary:An increasing amount of research has been conducted on developing new shape memory polymer nanocomposite structures. Estimating thermal properties of these types of structures is a crucial step towards their successful application. In this paper, a finite element based thermal model is proposed, of which the coefficients are identified using a nonlinear programming method in a nested loop. The model and identification results are validated in three material samples.
