Summary: | For our purposes, the term "fitness professional" will include certified personal trainers and strength and conditioning coaches/professionals (i.e., National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer [NSCA-CPT], Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist [CSCS]) whereas the term "nutrition professionals" may refer to a registered dietitian, licensed nutritionist, licensed dietitian, or a licensed dietitian/nutritionist. Nutritional assessment in Louisiana means the evaluation of the nutritional needs of individuals and groups based upon appropriate biochemical, anthropométrie, physical, and dietary data to determine nutrient needs and recommend to the primary health care provider appropriate nutritional intake including enterai and parenteral nutrition regardless of setting, including but not limited to ambulatory settings, hospitals, nursing homes, and other extended care facilities. |
