description The aim of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of herbicides, insecticides, and fungus Metarhizium anisopliae (Metsch.) on the immature stages of Trichogramma galloi Zucchi. Egg masses of Diatraea flavipennella Box, 1931, containing 30 eggs each, were immersed in test solutions for 5 s, before and after parasitism. In the post-parasitism tests, eggs were treated when they reached the egg–larvae (24 h), pre-pupa (72 h), and pupal stages (168 h). The experimental design was completely randomized, with eight treatments and 20 replicates. The survival of females that parasitized the pre-treated eggs was also evaluated. The herbicide, paraquat dichloride, was selective to Tri. galloi . Imidacloprid and phenylpyrazole decreased the survival of adult females. Metribuzin, tebuthiuron, and ametryn were classified from harmless to slightly harmful, depending on the developmental stage. Imidacloprid was slightly harmful, and M. anisopliae was selective to the pupae of Tri. galloi.
