Description
Summary:In fact, the National Institute of Disability Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) has funded several efforts to develop a research classification system that includes these non-RCT designs.* Consequently, the field of disability studies, including PSR, is currently built mostly on a hierarchy of evidence including quasi-experimental studies, open clinical trials, systematic observations, rigorous qualitative studies, and some true RCTs [26,28]. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) mental health services, for instance, have begun to use the recovery terminology and are one of the first systems to have designated the development of recovery teams and recovery plans as an institutional initiative.[dagger] Recovery plans include goals and objectives that relate to individual services (e.g., treatment goals, rehabilitation goals, crisis intervention goals, etc.).
