Description
Summary:A WBGH Project The number and seriousness of the problems we are now facing in health care costs-with no end in sight-is leading purchasers to come together again to reinvigorate and refine practices that work and to devise new solutions. In November 2001, the board of directors of the Washington Business Group on Health (WBGH) established an Institute on Health Care Costs and Solutions involving at least seven major U.S. corporations from the WBGH board. What we all hope to see, and will work hard to make happen, is that purchasers-employers and employees, private and public sector-will have the kind of information and performance measures that will allow all of us to buy high-quality, safe medical care based on the latest scientific evidence of effectiveness and appropriateness.
