Summary: | La9.33Si6O26 oxy-apatite powders were synthesized at 230°C through hydrothermal method of La2O3, and Na2SiO3 precursor powders with different synthesis time to evaluate theirs effect on morphology, structure and conductivity. The structure of the oxy-apates were characterized by using X-Ray diffraction, after heating resulted oxy-apatite powder at 120°C. In order to obtain dense membranes, they powders were subsequently sintered by furnace at 1,500°C for 3 hours. All sintered membranes were characterized by using SEM and impedance spectroscopy respectively to test their morphology and conductivity. All heating powder consisted of oxy-apatite phase although small amounts of secondary phases (La2SiO5). The structure, morphology and conductivity of the samples were slightly dependent on the different time of synthesis. |
