History of Toxic Pfiesteria in North Carolina Estuaries from 1991 to the Present

Many toxic Pfiesteria outbreaks have plagued North Carolina's Albemarle-Pamlico Estuarine System, including events both before and after the 1997 outbreaks in the Chesapeake Bay. North Carolina was the first state to encounter toxic Pfiesteria.
