Cysteine(3) of Src family protein tyrosine kinases determines palmitoylation and localization in caveolae
The localization of the Src family protein tyrosine kinases (PTK) was examined. Cysteine3 was shown to determine palmitoylation of the PTK and leads to its inclusion in caveolae in canine kidney cells.
