Description
Summary:An indigenous promising root tuber crop ‘Soh-phlong’ ( Flemingia procumbens Roxb.) was studied for morphology and selected proximate components and micro-nutrients in root tubers based on field surveys undertaken in the areas of cultivation. The analysis was presented from the perspective of crop diversification, extended use and value addition for the benefit of farmers. Knowledge on ethnobotanical and domestication trends was revisited for identification of hidden potential value of this crop for search of plant based health supplements and eco-friendly bio-pesticides.
