pH-Metric log P. 3. Glass electrode calibration in methanol-water, applied to pKa determination of water-insoluble substances
A series of semiaqueous HCl solutions of known concentration was titrated at 21, 25 and 37 degrees C with standardized KOH, pH 2-12. It is concluded that pKa determination for water-insoluble, methanol-soluble compounds may be reliably performed according to the described procedures.
