Summary: | Abstract of Involvement of Oct-1 in transcriptional regulation of beta-casein gene expression in mouse mammary gland by Feng-Qi Zhao and Takami Oka is presented. Researchers learned that Oct binding activity to beta-casein gene promoter in the mammary gland was affected under influence of hormones both in vitro and in vivo. The DS1 binding activity could be induced by the combination of insulin, hydrocortisone, and prolactin in virgin mouse mammary gland organ culture and induced by injection of progesterone or the combination of progesterone and estradiol in virgin mouse. |
