Attitudes of Parents about School Uniforms

Responses from 144 parents of fourth graders showed that 56% favored uniforms in public schools; most agreed that uniforms contributed to a conducive learning environment, promoted school spirit, and discouraged violence; and most disagreed that uniforms cost more than other types of clothing.
