Here, Barros and Martins evaluate PF (sit to stand 30, handgrip strength, 8-foot up and go, sit to stand 5, single leg stance) and BC (bioimpedance - Body Composition Monitor) before and after 6 months. The IEP include aerobic training (cycling) during the first quarter. After this period the program combined aerobic and strength training. Diabetics had a worse performance in all PF tests and also a poorer BC compared to non-diabetics HD patients. Both groups had a good adherence rate to exercise sessions. |
